Food for thought -

Discussion of avenues students have used to bypass firewalls and software restriction policies. Software such as UltraSurf, Firefox Portable, and what can be done in an environment that currently urges the use of USB drives in regards to preventing the use of software similar to this. As far as we have seen, UltraSurf is just the tip of the iceberg. We don't know what else is out there in the wild yet.

Sounds like a good addition to the discussion! We'll put it into the draft agenda, Brian! Thanks!

Can you add a common offsite backup for SEMNET/TEC members?

Owned and ran by us, SSC is open to hosting it or one of the schools could.

We went through offsite backup solutions in the last couple of meetings, but we could sure see if the group would like to look into options for that in upcoming meetings

Saw something on the interweb the other day saying how the average filtering system blocks only 30% of the content they are supposed to...how do we combat the garbage out there?? Don't lose sleep over it, do what you can...
